![]() Dansk Supermarked chooses Store Electronic Systems for ESL deployment across supermarkets
In Denmark Dansk Supermarked chooses Store Electronic Systems’ leading solution for ESL deployment across supermarkets, and a pilot store in hypermarkets.
One of Denmark’s largest retail groups, Dansk Supermarked, has selected SES along with its partner Wincor Nixdorf to equip all of its 84 Føtex and Føtex Food supermarkets. The agreement amounts to a total of some 1 million shelf Labels, to be installed before the end of 2012; it also includes a pilot store in the Group’s Bilka hypermarket format. The contribution of this agreement to SES’ revenue for FY 2010 will remain marginal; full impact is expected to begin in FY 2011.
Before choosing SES, Dansk Supermarked carefully evaluated other ESL suppliers, as well as both segmented and full-graphic display technologies; Dansk then ran a pilot program of 4 stores with Store Electronic Systems over a full year.
“It is a great honour for SES and Wincor Nixdorf teams together to be selected by Dansk Supermarked; we were impressed by their detailed understanding of the benefits ESL could bring to their business” says Yves Martin, Chairman and C.E.O. of Store Electronic Systems. “People at Dansk Supermarked made it quite clear that, along with outstanding technology, they required the solution with the lowest total cost of ownership”, says Ole Konnerup, General Manager at Wincor Nixdorf Denmark, “and this is exactly what Wincor Nixdorf and SES bring to the table”.
